Spring Romance Editorial // Brisbane Wedding Inspiration

romantic bridal photoshoot featuring wild spring blooms

We know, we know, beautiful blooms for a Spring themed editorial, it’s definitely not new, but for flower lovers like ourselves, Spring flowers are just too lovely not to fall in love with.

“Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.”

Spring is such a wonderful time of year for flowers, with so many of our favourites in season, we couldn’t help create our latest editorial inspired by a wild bloom-filled garden.

Thankfully Maddie Jayde Floral Design could bring our vision to life in her signature romantic and whimsical style, flawlessly weaving together tall Delphinium and rambling Queen Anne’s lace, with the sweetest Matricaria Daisy, Roses, Hydrangea and Flannel flowers on a bed of turtle leaves and moss. Maddie also created the most fragrant and perfectly simple bouquet of Sweet Pea.

With our hearts lost in an overgrown Spring garden, we set out to find romantic bridal pieces to compliment this aesthetic with a focus on non-traditional bridal fashion. Fortunately, we were able to work with the wonderful Sam from Bloom Australia. Sam’s emphasis on “high fashion, slow fashion, chill fashion” was a perfect fit for what we had in mind, her Newstead showroom features incredible Australian and international designers, all bringing something different to bridal fashion.

Our shop is filled with items from some of the coolest designers in the business. Our pieces are hand-made in ateliers because we believe in #slowfashion and are continuously trying to do better for our environment.
— Sam, Bloom Australia

In our opinion, Bloom is one of the greatest things to come to the Brisbane wedding industry and we are so happy that Sam is here. We had the pleasure of creating with some pieces from Western Australian designer, Harriette Gordon and London label, Bon Bridé as well as earrings by A.B. Ellie and the sweetest veil by AM Faulkner.

A very special thank you to our wonderful real couple Will and Talitha and Holly Jayne Makeup Artist who created T’s beautiful warm and natural look. We also loved visiting Wil Valor’s sleek Brisbane HQ to borrow the black suit that Will wore for look 1. We had a really wonderful experience with the Wil Valor team and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a perfectly tailored and sophisticated suit.

Seeing this photoshoot realised really was a dream come true and we are so grateful for the wonderful team who helped us pull this together. You can check out our video to see behind the scenes, then keep scrolling to see the final images.
