Karen Willis Holmes // Chic Elopement Inspiration
chic elopement inspiration featuring Karen Willis Holmes bridal
We are constantly inspired by wedding fashion that challenges tradition while maintaining a balance between modern and timeless, something that we love about Australian bridal label, Karen Willis Holmes. We have been long time admirers of Karen Willis Holmes and have enjoyed seeing the unique pieces that make up each new collection. We recently had the pleasure of photographing some gorgeous pieces from the ELOPE collection.
We worked with talented makeup artist, Sabrina Walsh and stunning model, Swarali Yeolekar to create modern and fashion focused, elopement inspiration in an urban setting. Swarali wears the “Charlie Jacket” and “Sherry Mini”. These gorgeous Karen Willis Holmes pieces were incredibly fun to photograph and Swarali was a dream to work with.
We loved the playfulness of the feather details on the “Sherry Mini” and fine detail of the straps and the way they tie at the back. The dress is simultaneously edgy and soft, which sounds like an impossibility, but it truly is a fun mix. We could see it being worn for a chic city elopement or the perfect second dress for your reception or dance-floor dress change.
The “Charlie Jacket” is effortlessly stylish. We paired it with the “Sherry Mini”, but it also works perfectly with the “Danielle Pant” from Karen Willis Holmes. A beautifully tailored bridal suit is a sleek and classic alternative to a wedding dress. Something about the “Charlie Jacket” gives us New York elopement vibes and we are really into it.

We were invited by the Brisbane Karen Willis Holmes team to capture their lovely store in Paddington. It was truly a delight to step inside this old Queensland cottage to find a beautiful space filled with the most stunning collection of bridal pieces. If you’re looking for something bridal but not too bridal, with a focus on fashion and modern design, that is also figure flattering and well made then you might want to visit Karen Wills Holmes.
