The first thing you notice when approaching The Joinery is the striking lattice facade - it’s edgy, modern and quite intriguing. Once inside, you walk down a beautifully lit hallway that opens up to reveal an expansive and uninterrupted event space. This architecturally designed venue was once a rundown warehouse, and while it retains the industrial aesthetic with it’s high ceiling and exposed brick walls, the space has been elevated to another level with polished concrete floors, modern pendulum lighting and seamless plywood joinery.

The Joinery is run by sisters, Maria and Penny, who clearly had an incredible vision to create this contemporary Brisbane wedding venue. The space is air-conditioned, wheel-chair accessible and can accommodate up to 200 guests seated or 300 standing for a cocktail style reception.

One of the unique features of The Joinery is the plywood structure inside the warehouse, which houses a private green room for you to freshen up, modern bathrooms and the ultimate chef’s kitchen for catering company, Chez Nous Catering, the Joinery’s exclusive on-site caterer. Chez Nous Catering can tailor the menu to suit your taste, style and budget, ensuring a streamlined and delicious service. There’s also the option of BYO alcohol, enabling you to supply your beverages of choice, you could even create your own gin bar.

Perhaps the greatest drawcard for The Joinery is the scope for endless possibilities.
