Wow, where do we begin…
yesterday with Kate and Matt was incredible, truly a beautiful day and a visually stunning celebration.
The day started in the architectural dream that is the Calile Suite at Brisbane’s favourite city oasis, The Calile Hotel. Kate and her five bridesmaids had the pleasure of getting ready in this gorgeous space, with hair stylist Chantelle Maree and Fernando Hervas Makeup Artist. Kate wore Jane Hill Bridal paired with an amazing pearl veil from Twigs and Honey.
Kate and Matt opted for a first look, having a moment together before the ceremony and also having their portrait time beforehand to allow the celebrations to flow seamlessly from their ceremony through to their reception. The Calile Suite features its own private balcony, which was perfect for the first look and also has access to the rooftop, where there was plenty of space and sweeping city views to create portraits.
After checking BOM (Bureau of Meteorology) all morning, with the forecast warning the chance of thunderstorms, the decision was eventually made to take the risk and go ahead with the outdoor ceremony in the Calile Amphitheatre. The amphitheatre was made all the more aesthetically pleasing thanks to the beautiful styling of For Love and Living and floral wizardry of Mrs Gibbons Flowers, both went above and beyond delivering one of the most gorgeous setups we’ve ever seen, not only for the ceremony but also for the reception. The styling also featured the loveliest stationary and signage by Laura Elizabeth Design.
The ceremony was perfectly balanced between hilarious and meaningful, thanks to Annie Molenaar of Celebrant Lady Love, who always knocks it out of the park. We also had the pleasure of being serenaded by the ever amazing The White Tree Band, from walking down the aisle to cocktail hour and throughout the evening.
Yesterday, was truly breathtaking and we can’t thank Kate and Matt enough for inviting the four of us to capture all the goodness. Also, a massive shoutout to the dream team of vendors we had the pleasure of working with, you’re all incredible!
